UN Observer.org is organized as a Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation under the Laws of the State of California. It was incorporated on November 25, 2003.

UN Observer.org applied for 501.c.3. tax exempt status with the United States Internal Revenue Service on January 5, 2004 and is expecting a final answer the IRS by the end of 2004.

UN Observer.org's By-laws were adopted on November 26, 2003 and last revised on January 10, 2004. These By-laws provide for a Board of nine Directors as well as an additional non-voting Director selected by and at the sole discretion of the Secretary-General of the United Nations.

Finally, the By-laws of UN Observer.org call for a Board of Advisors and an utive Director responsible for the daily affairs of the organization.
